Job Description

  • Carries out safe handling, unloading/loading of cylinders and other materials to/from vehicles. Counts the cylinders in stacks and in vehicles.
  • Identifies the cylinders and segregates them by   the indicators of size, filled, empty, EMGAS, Non-EMGAS, manufactured, retest date, abnormalities.
  • Takes care of sealing, stencilling, labelling and occasional filling of cylinders.
  • Handles decanting of cylinders as well as painting, hydro-testing, punching, valve fixing and removal activities.
  • Identifies, segregates and fills cylinders as per procedure. Ensures cylinders are filled within accepted tolerance.
  • Acts as a reliever to other positions viz. LPG Plant Operator, Office Assistant, etc. as instructed.
  • Actively participates in Business Excellence initiatives within the scope.                
  • Performs reliever duties as and when assigned at other EMGAS locations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned Maintenance
  • Does general cleaning, housekeeping and washing of tanks.
  • Assists in equipment maintenance and does painting of pipelines, equipments and vehicles.
    Environment, Health Safety and Quality
  • Ensures that work place hazards are reported to the Shift Supervisor/Plant Manager.
  • Participates in fire drills and other emergency procedures.
  • Takes appropriate emergency measures when required.
  • Knows the Company’s and Environment, Health & Safety Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility and ensure that they are effectively implemented in his domain. 
  • Ensures by appropriate monitoring and review, the work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

Requirements:

  • A high school graduate with 2-3 years work experience in a manufacturing setup doing similar work.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fair communication skills. Ability to read, write, follow instructions in English and update records as required.
  • Age: 22 to 35 years, should be physically fit and healthy to do manual intensive field jobs, able to endure extreme heat and with no known medical conditions (Blood pressure, Diabetes, Backaches or Arthritis etc.)
