Job Description

  • Provide assistance as required in regard to the legal matters and projects handled by the section, gather and organize relevant documents and prepare reports as well as follow up on all actions and tasks, as directed.
  • Support in the reviewing and providing legal advice on legal and regulatory matters given by the seniors.
  • Assist in drafting legal documentations, resolutions, memorandums, reports and prepare presentations relating to the prevailing legislations and bylaws as applicable.
  • Assist in reviewing and modifying draft laws and Government Legislations affecting DP World and its business units.
  • Assist other business units in verifying legal documents, templates, POAs, and simple legal advice.
  • Conduct legal research and analyse statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions and other legal sources and provide written analysis, as directed.
  • Filing and maintaining legal records of all the legal documentation for future reference, including filing details on shared folders as well as any other relevant solution.
  • Liaise with external counsel / competent authorities for all relevant matters.
  • Conduct legal and factual information research, analysis and data compilation as required.
  • Assist in organizing and attending meetings and maintaining records of meetings for the legal department.
  • Perform any other work associated duties as assigned by the direct line manager.

Requirements:

  • Moves others toward a position, with or without authority, by communicating expertise and providing a compelling rationale.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • English & Arabic legal writing skills. Familiar with the laws and legal systems of the GCC region.
