Job Description

  • Monitor and support the academic progress of students in Grades 11 and 12.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum, providing guidance and resources to teachers where necessary.
  • Assist in planning and implementing strategies to improve student performance, including interventions for students who may be struggling.
  • Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, providing academic and emotional support.
  • Address student concerns and conflicts, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Collaborate with counselors and other staff to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Act as a liaison between students, parents, and staff to ensure clear communication of academic progress, school policies, and events.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with parents and guardians, providing updates on student performance and behavior.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Assist in coordinating examinations, assessments, and other academic activities for Grades 11 and 12.
  • Participate in school committees and contribute to policy development and implementation.
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities, clubs, and events.
  • Oversee student involvement in leadership roles, community service, and other non-academic pursuits.
  • Assist students in preparing for external examinations, ensuring they meet all necessary requirements.
  • Enforce school rules and regulations consistently, promoting a safe and disciplined learning environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational practices, policies, and trends relevant to Grades 11 and 12.

Requirements:

  • Leadership skills to inspire and manage teachers and support staff.
  • Experience in setting and achieving educational goals, and managing classroom dynamics.
  • Proficiency in team building, conflict resolution, and collaborative decision-making.
  • Expertise in curriculum design, lesson planning, and delivery of content tailored to diverse learners.
  • Competence in designing and implementing formative and summative assessments.
  • Skills in analyzing assessment data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and facilitate professional development workshops.
  • Skills in strategic thinking and decision-making to develop and implement effective educational strategies.
  • High level of empathy and understanding of adolescent psychology.
  • Strong knowledge of senior secondary curriculum, including subject-specific content for Grades 11 and 12.
  • A bachelor’s degree in education, or a relevant subject area (e.g., Mathematics, Science, English).
  • A master’s degree in education, educational leadership, curriculum development, or a related field is preferred.
