Job Description

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Need to maintain the inventory of tools and fixture.
  • Need to maintain the in/out log accurately.
  • Ensure that all gauges and fixtures are fit for use.
  • Need to ensure that all gauges are meeting as per the calibration procedure.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, including developing skills in use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Follows the competency management program requirements and works under GENERAL supervision.
  • Initiate the replacement for damaged tools/fixtures.
  • Maintain the tooling stock based on the shop demand.
  • Monitor the consumptions and usage with the given budget.

Requirements:

  • Have 2 to 3 years of experience in Tool crib or Gauge room.
  • Have Secondary Education / ITE / Diploma / in science in Metal Machining.
  • Able to interpret and explain to machinists about Engineering drawing, VGS procedures, and MO when necessary.
  • Able to identify the different gauges, fixtures and inserts.
  • Have good interpersonal skills, computer skills and must be a team player.
  • Able to read and understand English.
