Job Description

  • Responsible for managing the indirect tax compliance within the Group (including
  • subsidiaries) and assure effective reporting and compliance with all regulations and legislations.
  • Preparation and filing of VAT returns and journals ensuring complete, accurate and timely reporting to the Tax Authorities
  • Provide research support to the Senior Manager as and when required
  • Regular review of the VAT tax charge code and ensure that the tax master database is
  • updated and amended in the systems for any irregularities.
  • Maintain the issue log file and ensure closure of action points.
  • Provide tax mapping for implementation of the new IT systems within DP World

Requirements:

  •  Assist auditors with queries in relation to tax disclosures
  • Preparation of UAE CIT tax journals (CT and DT) and calculation of uncertain tax positions
  • Preparation and submission of ESR notifications and filing of the annual returns.
  • Preparation of CBCR annual returns and notifications in UAE and foreign jurisdictions as required.
  • Take overall ownership for ensuring that Group policies and practices are tax compliant.
  • Production of technical accounting documentation with regards to any rules or regulation changes.
  • Ensure reporting period delivery and concerns are well managed and stakeholders are kept appraised of progress with regular status updates.
  • Planning and completion of Tax audits and liaise with external and internal auditors and tax consultancy providers.
  • To act as a first point of contact for all tax related activities and manage external adviser relationships.
  • Liaise with the department, business units, technology team on an ongoing basis for tax
  • projects and ongoing responsibilities.
  • Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline
